GDPR Privacy Statement

Brief Marketing collects email addresses and certain other personal information in order to contact you about our Brief Encounter Workshops, offers relating to those workshops, Brief Marketing news and other information that might be of interest to you. You can review, amend or ask to have this information deleted by emailing Your Personal Information will not be passed onto any third parties. We will do our upmost to keep your email address private and will only use your email address to send you information about Brief Marketing.

We take Data protection and client confidentiality very seriously at Brief Marketing and as such have strict procedures in place to comply with legislation.

What we know about you

This is what we know about you if you filled out a website enquiry form: Your name and email address.

This is what we know about you if you’ve connected with us on LinkedIn: Your LinkedIn personal data including your name, email address, company you work for and your position.

This is what we may know about you if you’ve given us a business card or have been a client of ours: Your name, email address, office address, mobile telephone number, work telephone number, company you work for, your position.

How we store your information

We keep your information in an excel spreadsheet on our company sharepoint system. This is held in a secure way on Microsoft Office 365 servers.

It is also contained within Mailchimp email lists and may be contained on Hubspot a CRM system we use to track our conversations with customers. Mailchimp and Hubspot comply with GDPR legislation and provide a secure way of storing the personal information you have given us.

We use EventBrite to take bookings onto our Brief Encounter Workshops – we do not see or hold any of your payment details as that is all handled by EventBrite.

What we use your information for

We like to keep in touch and so use your email to send you News about Brief Marketing, information about upcoming Brief Encounters and any offers we’re running relating to our Brief Encounter workshops.

We do not share your information with third parties, unless you have requested that we do so as part of an Awesome Brief (finding a marketing specialist on your behalf).

How long we hold your information for

We will hold the information you have given us until you request that you no longer wish to hear from us.

If you have been a client of ours we will hold the information relating to a project we have run on your behalf for up to two years. We will ask your explicit consent to be added to our email list.

What happens in the event of a data breach?

If there is a breach of the secure systems that hold your data then Brief Marketing will notify the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) and you within 30 days of discovering the breech. (In practice we will endeavour to do it immediately).

You don’t want to hear from us anymore?

We’ll be sad to see you go, but no problem, send us an email to with your full name and with the email address you want to remove and request to be removed from our database. We will delete our electronic files, and remove you from all of the mailing lists that you may be on.
